Job summary

Primary Health Care Inc. in Des Moines, IA seeks a Homeless Support Services Program Manager to lead grant-funded programs delivering case management and housing services for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The role oversees daily operations, supervises 10–15 staff, ensures compliance and quality assurance, develops budgets, collaborates with community partners, and supports clients through the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with local housing or community resources.
• Driver’s license required.
• Chauffeur’s license in Iowa.
• Mandatory Reporter Training for Child/Dependent Adult Abuse.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Homeless Support Services Department.
• Lead and develop program staff, hire and onboard, coach, evaluate performance.
• Monitor grant revenues/expenditures; manage program budget and spend approvals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and agencies.
• Participate in grant writing and reporting; ensure program compliance and quality assurance.
• Support clients through the Continuum of Care and assist with accessing services.
