Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Home Consultant to create a world class home buying experience by guiding customers through floor plans, options, and coordinating construction.

You will showcase display homes, demonstrate features, set appointments, and follow up with prospects using Clayton's CRM. The role offers a $50k base salary plus commissions with unlimited earning potential and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven B2C sales preferred.
• Understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs).
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Protect Clayton branding and assets by maintaining integrity throughout the sales process.
• Develop expertise in finance mortgage concepts, product, sales acumen, and your local market.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via the CRM.
• Assist manager by helping select inventory, decorate models and maintain appearance of the homes.
• Develop, refine and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic.
• Present potential buyers display homes and demonstrate features and benefits to create added value.
• Set home center visits by using the prospect database and converting ad calls and web leads to appointments.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities and other company sponsored functions.
• Be cooperative and collaborative, willing to work in a team environment.
