Job summary

Nixa Public Schools seeks an early childhood professional to work with families and young children, providing guidance during home visits and developmental screenings from birth to kindergarten.

You will inform parents about development milestones, refer families to appropriate services, and support the district's improvement plan. A relevant degree or credentials and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Certification or degree in listed fields and ability to work with young children and their parents.
• Background check and drug test required by the Board of Education.
• Support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.

Responsibilities

• Work with parents/guardians of prenatal to age five.
• Conduct home visits to provide information and guidance.
• Perform periodic development screenings from birth to kindergarten.
• Inform parents about potential developmental delays and normal progress.
• Refer families to internal/external agencies as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
