Job summary

Lincare in Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team, focusing on home medical equipment setup and patient education for ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and related devices.

You will educate patients on proper usage, inspect and adjust equipment, and maintain accurate records. On-call work after hours and weekends may be required, reflecting center needs.

Qualifications

• Home healthcare experience or exposure to home medical equipment preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on device usage and safety practices.
• Familiarity with documenting care in patient records and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency determined by center size).
