Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team in Sioux Falls. The role involves setting up home medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and oxygen concentrators, and educating patients on proper usage.

Responsibilities include equipment inspection, reviewing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and staying current with pulmonary rehab techniques. On-call work after hours and weekends is required, with frequency depending on staffing.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory (mileage reimbursement provided).
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe functioning.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records per accreditation standards.
• Stay current on respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency depends on center size.
