Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital settings, aligned with policies and procedures. You will serve as a subject matter expert, conduct new hire training, and mentor teammates while ensuring efficient equipment delivery and service.

Responsibilities include PAP setup, follow-up visits, preventive maintenance, meticulous documentation, and HIPAA/compliance adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medicare certified HME experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Dept. staff to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; escalate urgent needs to clinical support.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation (delivery tickets, safety checklists, etc.).
