Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will serve as a subject matter expert, conduct new hire training, and mentor team members while ensuring efficient access to respiratory equipment and services.

You will perform equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for PAP therapy, follow HIPAA guidelines, and support billing and documentation processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medicare certified HME experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and escalate urgent needs to clinical support.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines; troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and complete required paperwork including delivery tickets and infusion/inspection forms.
• Develop basic reimbursement knowledge for accurate billing documentation.
• Promote services and products to community referral sources as appropriate.
• Assist with implementing quality improvement programs to meet company standards.
