Job summary

Meritus Health in Maryland seeks a Respiratory Practitioner DME to provide non-clinical assessments and coordinate setup and delivery of home medical equipment. This role serves patients across the lifespan and supports physicians on the effectiveness of respiratory therapy.

You will instruct on CPAP/BiPAP use, set up equipment, follow care standards, and help with insurance requirements. You’ll also participate in on-call rotations and educate staff in nursing home settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• 1 year of relevant experience; Home Respiratory Care preferred.
• Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license required; must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and service to patients of all ages.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on CPAP, BiPAP, and related equipment.
• Set up and deliver home medical equipment and supplies.
• Review insurance guidelines to determine medical necessity.
