Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pick-up and Delivery Driver. You will safely operate commercial motor vehicles, load/unload freight, and maintain compliance records while delivering on-time, damage-free service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A CDL with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Flexible hours.
• Ability to be certified as forklift operator.
• Familiar with proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Be able to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without mechanical equipment.
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts and tally sheets.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional and effective relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other work related duties as assigned.
