AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is a full-time carrier seeking Pick-up and Delivery Drivers to deliver freight safely and on time, from the terminal to customers and back.

The role emphasizes home nightly schedules and operating modern safe equipment while maintaining customer relations. Applicants must have a Class A CDL with hazmat and double/triple endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to pass DOT screenings and required tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years or older required.
• Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers' License with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Ability to be certified as a forklift operator.
• Familiar with handling hazardous materials procedures.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without assistance.
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts and tally sheets.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations between our company and our customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking lever to raise/lower landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition per laws and AAA Cooper.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other work related duties as assigned.
