Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking full-time Pick-up and Delivery Drivers. The role focuses on safe, legal operation of commercial motor vehicles and delivering freight on time while staying home each night.

Eligibility requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and double/triple endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, and passing DOT drug and physical exams. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with company match, life insurance, disability coverage, paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers' License with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Be familiar with proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and legally.
• Load/unload trailers and move freight at the terminal.
• Record shipments using bills of lading and receipts.
• Maintain compliance records for state and federal regulations.
• Foster professional relations with customers.
• Hook/unhook trailers and manage landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safety compliance.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
