Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician - DOT to ensure safe delivery, setup, and education of home medical equipment. This role requires operating company vehicles over 10,001 pounds, DOT compliance, and performing set-up in customers' homes or long-term care settings.

You will manage equipment, train customers on use, document visits, coordinate with referral sources, and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Entry level sales, customer service background essential.
• Military, delivery driver with sales component or health care technician experience would be considered related experience.
• One year of HME delivery experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle at or above 10,001 pounds with DOT compliance.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of HME products and government regulations.
• Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Process orders and assist with repairs as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ensure reimbursement documentation.
• Assume on-call responsibilities and adhere to safety policies.
