Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other locations. The role emphasizes safe operation, patient comfort, and caregiver education.

You will perform patient assessments, maintain equipment, and participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year healthcare technician, military service, or field service with customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up assessments for ongoing care.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies when required.
• Maintain equipment and schedule routine preventative maintenance.
• Document orders accurately and support billing and reimbursement processes.
