Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is hiring a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safety, independence, and comfort during equipment use and maintenance.

Role involves field-based duties with daily home visits, on-call rotation, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards. A valid driver’s license and customer-service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of healthcare technician, military service or delivery/field service with customer interaction preferred.
• Senior level requires 2+ years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards (PPE).
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
