Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Home Infusion Compounding Technician to assist with sterile preparation and the assembly of patient supplies under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role requires strict adherence to USP 797, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

The technician will maintain cleanliness, monitor environmental conditions, manage inventory, coordinate deliveries, and perform patient follow-up calls to ensure uninterrupted therapy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meet all State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Completion of pharmacy technician training preferred.
• Experience in compounding or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Registered with the State Board of Pharmacy if applicable in state(s) of service area(s).

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding per USP 797.
• Follow all SOPs, USP 797, and Board of Pharmacy regulations and requirements.
• Clean all work surfaces, equipment, floors, ceilings, and walls according to USP 797 and SOPs.
• Maintain sterile compounding competencies.
• Ensure drugs are prepared in appropriate containers that are adequately labeled.
• Monitor and document environmental conditions daily; notify PIC if readings are out of range.
• Maintain On Track Task Logs daily.
• Manage timely refills to prevent treatment interruptions.
• Upload delivery tickets into Care Tend; confirm delivery tickets when a signed Admission Agreement is on file.
• Conduct patient follow-up assessment calls and document thoroughly.
• Order medication to keep inventory well-stocked.
• Enter supplies into the Vital Systems inventory system.
• Store drugs and supplies to maintain safety and organization.
• Routinely inspect shelves for reorders to prevent shortages.
• Conduct monthly inventory of all supplies in ambulatory infusion suite.
• Report misconduct to Human Resources.
• Build positive relationships with clients through attentive, friendly, proactive support.
• Exhibit good written and verbal communication with colleagues, supervisors, patients, and referral sources.
• Assist with quality control and performance improvement activities as directed by the PIC.
• Report product incidents as required by company policy.
• Work as a team with others to ensure tasks are completed.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

18 years of age or older

Meet all State Board of Pharmacy requirements

Completion of pharmacy technician training

Experience in compounding or healthcare setting

Registered with State Board of Pharmacy
