Job summary

Amerita, Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC is hiring a Home Infusion Nurse to care for patients 1:1 in their homes. You will perform IV therapies, manage vascular access, educate families, and collaborate with pharmacy and providers to optimize therapies.

The role requires RN licensure, a BSN preferred, CPR, and a willingness to travel to patient homes. Strong IV skills and home health experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in state(s) of practice.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Infusion/home health experience preferred.
• Extensive IV therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible shift availability; travel to patient homes required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and builds plans of care.
• Adheres to infusion nursing, pharmacy services and state laws.
• Follow INS/IgNS, CDC guidelines, and ANA standards.
• Collaborates with pharmacy, providers and patients to set goals.
• Documents care in patient home or AIS systems.
• Manages vascular access devices and draws labs as needed.
• Educates patients and caregivers.
• Coordinates care with home health and community agencies.
• Participates in on-call rotation; completes mileage reports.
• Complete annual competencies and training as due.
