Job summary

Amerita is seeking a home infusion nurse to care for infusion patients 1:1 in the patient's home. The role includes assessing patients, establishing a care plan, and coordinating with pharmacy and providers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in state(s) of practice.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Infusion and home health care experience preferred.
• Extensive IV therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible schedule with varied shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Travel 100% to patients’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and establishes Plan of Care.
• Adheres to infusion nursing and state regulations.
• Follows INS/IgNS, CDC guidelines, and ANA code of ethics.
• Collaborates with pharmacy staff, sales partners, and providers.
• Completes patient care documentation at the home.
• Manages vascular access devices and labs via venipuncture.
• Educates patients and caregivers.
• Monitors progress and makes physician recommendations.
• Coordinates with home health and community agencies.
• Participates in on-call rotation.
• Completes expense reports and mileage.
• Completes annual competencies and training.
