We are looking for an experienced and motivated Intake Coordinator to join our team! This full-time role involves providing patient access to medications and therapies by contacting insurance companies, verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, and authorizations.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of insurance benefit verification, working in compliance with regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years’ experience in customer service, medical billing, benefits verification, or related fields
Key Responsibilities
  1. Enter patient demographic and insurance information
  2. Review incoming prescriptions and attach to patient profiles
  3. Contact patients or physicians for missing information
  4. Conduct benefit investigations and evaluate plans
  5. Obtain documentation for prior authorization
  6. Follow up on authorizations until approved
  7. Communicate with patients, physicians, and departments about benefits and status
  8. Handle denials, appeals, and coverage issues
  9. Coordinate with other departments and notify patients of coverage/payment responsibilities
  10. Assist with financial hardship documentation and co-pay assistance
  11. Document all interactions and updates in patient records
  12. Identify in-network providers and communicate options
  13. Provide leadership and training to associates
  14. Participate in meetings, develop workflow documentation, and train staff
  15. Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  16. Maintain quality and productivity standards
  17. Other duties as assigned
