Job summary

Lowe’s in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Sales Specialist to help customers find the right products and turn home improvement ideas into reality. You’ll be the first point of contact, guiding customers through needs and solutions in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales. The role offers opportunities in various departments and emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe’s will support and fund this requirement).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating advantages of Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and ensure maintenance of pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
