Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is hiring a Sales Specialist to welcome customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right products and services. You will become a product expert, discuss specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales, and help customers achieve home improvement goals.

You’ll work in one of several departments based on hiring needs, answer questions, and provide professional consulting to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by identifying customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as department contact for customers and vendors, estimate projects, schedule installers, process orders, and ensure project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors/store to replenish stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
