Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to help customers identify products and turn project ideas into reality. You’ll be the first point of contact, becoming a product expert who explains specs, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You’ll work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls, and may train others, process orders, and assist with checkout.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and explaining Lowe's product advantages.
• Act as point of contact for customers and vendors; manage estimates, installations, orders and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory and work with vendors to replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions, call buttons, and department pages.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
