Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in Southern Pines, NC to help customers find products, answer questions, and close purchases. You’ll be a product expert, guiding customers through specifications, promotions, and financing options to meet home improvement goals.

You’ll work in departments like Appliances, Flooring, or Cabinets, providing consultative service and contributing to a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or >25lbs with accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating Lowe’s advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, scheduling installations, processing orders, and following up on project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain documentation.
• Support checkout, call buttons, departmental pages, and requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
