Job summary

Lowe's in Anchorage seeks a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right home improvement solutions. You will become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing to close sales while delivering friendly, practical service.

You'll work in a fast-paced store environment, move between customer interactions and in-store tasks, and contribute to a team that helps customers complete their home improvement projects with confidence.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales OR 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating the advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, and track orders/installations.
• In the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with vendors/stores to reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates on sales floor and coaching needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
