Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in Anchorage, AK. You will be among the first associates customers meet, helping them find products and turning ideas into reality. The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and driving sales in-store.

You will inform customers about specifications, promotions, and financing options, closing sales with strong consultative service. Department assignments vary (Appliances, Cabinetry, Flooring, Live Nursery, etc.).

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales)
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals/metrics
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25 lbs
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state (Lowe's will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders and follow up on completions.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and source replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support checkout functions and in-store requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned
