Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist who will be one of the first friendly faces our customers meet. You’ll help customers identify the right products, explain features, promotions, and financing options, and work across departments to close sales.

You'll be a product expert, guiding customers to meet their home improvement goals while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales) if education not met.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift at least 25 lbs unassisted or more with help.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors in your department, handling estimates, scheduling visits, and processing orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to find merchandise or replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist with store communications.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching.
