Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist in-store to assist customers with project needs, communicate product specifications, and close sales as the product expert. You will work across departments such as Appliances, Flooring, and Tools, contributing to a high-energy customer experience.

The role emphasizes assisting customers, recommending solutions, and delivering excellent service while promoting Lowe's offerings and promotions. Part-time positions are available with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods; minimally lift 25 lbs.
• Sales-related licensure or registration may be required by state; Lowe's will support and fund.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and follow up to ensure project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors to restock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews per pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist with department pages or requests for help.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching on the sales floor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
