Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand their home improvement needs, and guide them to the right products.

You will work across departments to resolve questions, close sales, and provide expert guidance to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be active in-store, assisting customers, answering phones, and promoting services such as installation, delivery, financing, or protection plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail experience or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift 25 lbs unassisted or >25 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule visits, process orders and installations, and follow up.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to restock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist requests across departments.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach for development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
