Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand project needs, and guide them to suitable home improvement solutions. You will become the product expert and present promotions, financing options, and services to close sales.

You’ll work in various departments (Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, Windows & Walls) with opportunities to grow and earn based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience or 3 years external sales with education not met.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state with Lowe's support.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule installer visits, and track orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/stores to find/stock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist in-store communications.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
