Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist in Missouri to help customers identify products and turn home improvement ideas into action. You will be the first contact for shoppers, guiding them to solutions, explaining features, promotions and financing to close sales.

You will work in one of several departments, according to need and skill, and may assist in Pro accounts or general retail settings while expanding product knowledge and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales) if education is not met.
• 1 year of experience in sales/customer service with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, scheduling, orders/installations, and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and training of associates in the department.
