Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate in New Jersey. You will welcome customers, help them find products and services for home improvement, and deliver friendly, professional service throughout the day.

You may assist in locating merchandise, handling orders, and stocking shelves while learning various store departments. This role emphasizes customer care and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying information)
• 6 months experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets)
• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic (addition/subtraction)
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods and perform job duties
• Minimum lifting 25 lbs unassisted or >25 lbs with accommodation

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions and deliver friendly, professional service
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Stock shelves by identifying empty spaces and replenishing supplies
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive items on time
• Cross-train in other store areas to support customer service
• Prepare merchandise in your department per customer needs (e.g., tint/mix paint, cut/thread pipe, cut wood)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned
