Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Franklin, IN is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to assist customers and contractors with project needs. This full-time role requires open availability Monday through Sunday, including evenings and weekends, reporting to the Shelbyville store location.

You will build product knowledge, process quotes and orders, and support sales through add-on recommendations while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in building materials/construction industry
• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Retail experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers and assist with project needs
• Greet and assist customers in a positive manner; resolve concerns and advise on solutions
• Handle orders, quotes, purchases, and invoices; ensure accurate take-offs and pricing
• Respond to inquiries about products, prices, and delivery/installation scheduling
• Operate cash register and assist with loading products and other tasks as needed
• Open and close store and maintain safe, clean work environment
