Gillman Home Center in Harrison, OH seeks an Inside Sales Specialist to assist customers and contractors with project needs. This full-time role (40 hours/week) requires open availability Monday through Sunday, including evenings and weekends, with duties at the Brookville, IN store location.

You will greet customers, explain orders, prepare quotes, process purchases, manage inventories, and support other departments while ensuring safe, courteous service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in the building materials/construction industry.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers.
• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner and resolve concerns.
• Advise customers on solutions to projects and add-on sales where appropriate.
• Educate yourself on product lines and industry trends.
• Create accurate estimates, quotes, orders, and invoices using store software.
• Respond to inquiries about product selection, prices, and deliveries.
• Explain orders clearly and obtain sign-off before placing purchase orders.
• Maintain inventory and price updates at the lumber desk area.
• Support other departments as needed and open/close the store.
