Job summary

UF Health Shands Homecare is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator who will coordinate the clinical team, manage the master weekly schedule, verify physician orders, and serve as a customer resource for administrative staff, caregivers, and patients. The role requires careful attention to frequencies, durations, and authorizations to support accurate billing and staffing.

You will maintain Kardex and the Novius System, perform visit validation, update patient census, and handle HR file documents.

Qualifications

• Data management and clerical accuracy required in a clinical setting.
• Proficient with basic office software and healthcare systems.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Kardex with physician orders and authorizations.
• Create weekly master schedule from physician orders and authorizations.
• Verify visits stay within authorizations for accurate billing.
• Assist HR by collecting renewal documents for staff files.
• Communicate care delivery information to supervisor promptly.
• Perform visit validation against orders and Medicare frequencies.
• Maintain hospital hold, discharge, and transfer lists in Kardex/Novius.
• Validate timesheets, visit codes, signatures, and travel times.
