Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Espanola, NM is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care within a structured nursing process. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating interdisciplinary care and educating patients and families.

In this full-time, 0.90 FTE position, you will work varied days and hours across shifts, contributing to quality outcomes and using EPIC charting. A strong emphasis on safety, ongoing education, and adherence to policy is required.

Qualifications

• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• Minimum ADN preparation.
• State RN license for NM or a Compact state.
• Certification from AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross required (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS as specified).

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of patient care and delegate to home health aides and staff.
• Maintain clinical competency and adjust care plans with other specialists.
• Coordinate patient care with patient, family, physicians and community resources.
• Ensure patient rights, informed consent and teaching needs are understood.
• Supervise home health aides under Medicare/Medicaid rules.
• Direct own education for top ICD9 codes and diabetes/nutrition needs.
