Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate RN to join the Family Practice team at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital. This outpatient role focuses on direct nursing care, supporting providers, coordinating patient services and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

You will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, MAs and other professionals to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Strong BLS and NM/Compact licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a registered nurse in New Mexico or Compact state.
• ADN minimum with BSN planned/completed within 5 years of hire.
• Specialty certifications in area of practice preferred.
• Current BLS required; additional area-specific certifications vary by clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in ambulatory visits.
• Provide direct patient care via telephone triage in ambulatory settings.
• Medication refill management as agent of provider per nursing protocols.
• Ensure safe, timely, patient-centered care across the ambulatory patient population.

Summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Family Practice team at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital. In this outpatient role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients across the lifespan, support providers with clinical care and treatments, coordinate patient services, and help ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
• Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
• Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.

Qualifications

Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License

Academic Preparation:

• Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
• Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire

Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred

Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in following:

• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for all
• Additional Requirements based upon area of service
• CDS Outpatient
• Specialty Care Clinics: Oncology Chemotherapy certification
• Urgent Care: ACLS, PALS
• Pediatric Urgent Care: PALS

Experience: Minimum New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program
