Job summary

Inspired Home Care is seeking a PRN and Part Time Home Health Nurse to manage a personal caseload in Homewood, AL. You will assess patients on each visit, perform Oasis and vital sign checks, and provide wound care and IV therapy in a home setting.

You will educate families, coordinate with therapists and physicians, and recommend adaptive devices as needed while traveling between patients across the day. Nursing compassion is essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of in-home care experience.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' condition during every visit and chart observations.
• Perform vital signs, medication review, Oasis assessment, wound care and IV therapy.
• Dress or re-dress wounds and monitor healing progress.
• Educate patients and families on home health care protocols.
• Coordinate with therapists and physicians involved in the care plan.
• Recommend devices or tools to improve quality of life.
• Listen to patient concerns and respond appropriately.

Inspired Home Care is a 5-Star Agency ACHC accredite*d rapidly expanding and we are hiring PRN and Part Time effective immediately. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, so time management skills and the ability to work independently are essential. However, it is important to provide each patient with the time and attention necessary to meet his or her needs. Home Health Nurse Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition during every visit and chart your observations
• Perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review, Oasis assessment, wound care and IV therapy
• Dress or re-dress open wounds and assess the progress of healing
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures
• Coordinate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physicians and anyone else involved in the patient's care plan
• Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient's quality of life
• Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests

Qualifications:

• State RN license required
• 1 year of experience in in-home care
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor
• Ability to travel to multiple patients per day
