Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of Oregon.
• Current drivers license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care, work only as defined by the supervising PT, and suggest changes in the plan of care.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members in therapy within PTA scope.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
