Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and patient education under the plan of care. You will work within home care, coordinating with the supervising Physical Therapist and healthcare team.

The role requires PTA licensure in the state of practice, a valid driver’s license, and weekend availability. CPR certification is preferred within 90 days of hire. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in practicing state.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and implement care as defined by supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfers and safety.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to supervising PT, nurse supervisor or physician.
• Coordinate care with the health care team as appropriate.
• Instruct patient, family and caregivers in therapy within PTA scope.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments regardless of patient background.
