Job summary

Assured Home Health, part of the LHC Group family and aligned with Optum, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction according to the plan of care. The role emphasizes compassionate care, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include following state guidelines, teaching patients, and coordinating with supervising PT and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in Washington.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT; follow plan of care set by supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in exercises, gait, ADL, transfers and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses; coordinate with health care team.
• Educate patient, family, and health care team in therapy areas.
• Function in diverse home environments and treat all patients with respect.
