Job summary

Optum’s Assured Home Health in Washington is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to support in-home patient care under a supervising PT. You will implement treatment plans and educate patients to improve well-being during visits.

Responsibilities include treating per an established plan, coordinating with the care team, and teaching patients and families. Weekend availability is required; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of Washington
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care PT, follow treatment plan defined by supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses; coordinates care with healthcare team
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and others in therapy within scope
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition
