Commonwealth Home Health, part of the LHC Group and affiliated with Optum, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients under a supervising PT. The coverage area includes Fayette and Jessamine counties, focusing on enhancing well-being and adherence to the plan of care.

You will work in patients' homes, collaborate with the care team, and engage families.

Formación

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance; access to a dependable vehicle.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and perform only procedures validated by supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfers and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and care team; coordinates care with health care team.
• Instructs patients, families, and others in therapy areas within PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home environments respecting patient diversity.
