Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in a full-time daytime schedule. You will deliver PTA services under the supervision of a licensed PT, monitor patient progress, and document outcomes to support ongoing care plans.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of PTA experience in home health or equivalent; mentoring if less than one year.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT per plan of care.
• Observes and documents patient response to treatment and reports changes to the supervising PT.
• Maintains confidentiality and documents supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Promotes wellness, prevention, and referrals to community resources as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
