Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality home health services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help patients regain mobility and independence in their own homes, document progress, and collaborate with a supportive clinical team.

The role offers an attractive pay rate of $39.00 to $45.00 per hour and requires CAPTE-accredited PTA education, a current PTA license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license to practice in the assigned state.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of related PTA experience in home health preferred; if less, mentoring and/or residency may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and per the approved plan of care.
• Observe, record and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
• Document supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Coordinate follow-up care and referrals with the agency and community resources.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in team activities and quality improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
