Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver home health therapy, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve well‑being under a supervising PT. You’ll play a key role in coordinating care with the health team.

Responsibilities include executing the plan of care, managing active and passive exercises, and educating patients and families. Weekend rotation and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable public transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home settings and weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise as defined by the PT; implement plan of care under supervision.
• Instruct and assist patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, and mobility training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
