Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home health services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement the plan of care, guide patients through exercises, and educate families to support ongoing wellbeing.

Responsibilities include following state regulations, coordinating with care teams, and adapting care to diverse home environments while promoting safety and functional improvement.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home physical therapy; perform only procedures within PTA scope as supervised.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient's response to treatment to supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and care team on therapy within PTA scope.
• Provide care in diverse home settings regardless of patient background.
