Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home care patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will guide exercise programs, educate patients and families, and document patient responses to treatment.

The role requires an active PTA license, a valid driver’s license, and availability for weekend shifts. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle or public transport.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home care PT and implement the supervising PT's plan.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate with healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on therapy within PTA scope.
• Function effectively in diverse home settings.
