Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment and exercise instruction in a home care setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role requires adherence to state laws and effective coordination with the care team to support patient well-being.

Responsibilities include aiding patients with exercises, gait training, ADL tasks, and communicating patient progress to the supervising PT and other care team members. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care PT with supervising PT guidance.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait and ADL training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the PT, nurse, and physician.
