Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team in Georgia as a full-time PTA. You’ll provide PT services under supervision, help patients recover at home, and support care plans to improve mobility and independence.

We offer mileage reimbursement, competitive per-visit pay ranging from $47 to $56, paid time off, and benefits to help you stay healthy while delivering compassionate care in patients’ own homes.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA educational program as set by CAPTE.
• One year related PTA experience for home health care.
• If less than one year, mentoring/approval by regional leaders required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under direction of a physical therapist and plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising staff.
• Maintains documentation of supervisory activities and patient progress.
• Participates in care conferences, quality improvement activities and chart audits.
• Ensures confidentiality of patient information.
