Zusammenfassung

Amedisys is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in Georgia. The PTA will work under a licensed PT to deliver timely, quality therapy at patients’ homes, documenting progress and adjusting care plans as needed.

You will promote wellness, coordinate with the care team, and support families in understanding treatment goals. Successful candidates hold an active PTA license, CPR certification, and ideally one year of home health experience.

Qualifikationen

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state you’re assigned to.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program per CAPTE.
• One year of physical therapy experience recommended for home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, regional clinical leaders must approve with mentoring/residency participation.
• Current CPR certification.

Aufgaben

• Provide PT assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Document patient responses and treatment progress in the medical record.
• Support wellness and prevention education for patients and families.
• Record supervisory activities and chart any changes or needs.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate results to the PT and clinical staff.
• Participate in care conferences, in-services, chart audits and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate follow-up care with the admitting agency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
