Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team in Waycross, GA. The PTA will provide PT services under supervision, help patients reach goals, and promote wellness in the home setting.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA educational program per CAPTE.
• One year of related PTA experience in home health preferred; approval by regional leaders if less.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under direction of a licensed PT.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment.
• Promotes wellness and prevention; documents supervisory activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care.
• Participates in care conferences, chart audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
